Introduction
Congenital anomalies of the mitral valve include a diverse range of morphologic and physiologic derangements. This chapter addresses the major categories of congenital mitral valve defects, common surgical techniques to address underlying mitral valve pathology, and reviews the recent outcomes for mitral valve repair and replacement in neonates, infants and children.
