Introduction

D-Transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA) is a congenital abnormality in which the relationship between the atria and the ventricles is concordant, but there is discordance between the ventricles and great arteries, with the pulmonary artery (PA) arising from the left ventricle (LV) and the aorta (Ao) arising from the right ventricle (RV). This condition is distinct from “congenitally corrected transposition” or L-TGA, which describes the condition in which there is both atrioventricular as and ventriculoarterial discordance.[1]
